Refund & Cancellation Policy

MMaintenance offers two ways to access exports: a once-off payment of R149 per schedule, or the Legal Professional Plan subscription at R499/mo for unlimited exports. Creating and viewing schedules is always free. This policy explains how refunds, cancellations and subscriptions are handled, and forms part of our Terms of Use.

1. Per-schedule exports

Each once-off payment unlocks export access for a single schedule. Once unlocked, you can download your schedule as a court-ready Excel spreadsheet (with live formulas) or a formatted PDF document as many times as you need.

• Each schedule is a separate once-off purchase of R149.
• Export access is permanent once purchased.
• Creating and viewing schedules is always free.

2. Legal Professional Plan (subscription)

The Legal Professional Plan is a monthly subscription at R499/mo for attorneys and family law practices. It includes:

• Unlimited schedule exports (Excel, PDF, child cost and income apportionment).
• Firm branding on all exports (logo, name and contact details).
• A client management dashboard.
• Bulk ZIP export for court bundles.
• Court document generation (Rule 43 affidavit and Form J101).

The subscription is billed monthly in advance via Paystack and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Account Settings page.

3. Free first month

Where offered, the free first month of the Legal Professional Plan needs no card and is never charged. It ends automatically after 30 days, so there is nothing to cancel or refund. If you subscribe during or after your free month, this policy applies from your first paid billing period.

4. When we refund

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Refunds are considered case by case, on the following basis:

Technical issues prevented you from downloading your exports. You were charged more than once for the same schedule. The exported document contains errors caused by our system. Payment was processed but the schedule was not unlocked.	You changed your mind after successfully downloading exports. Incorrect data was entered by you into the schedule. You no longer need the maintenance schedule.

Legal Professional Plan

Eligible for a refund	Not eligible for a refund
You were charged after cancelling your subscription before the billing date. You were double-charged for the same billing period. A technical issue prevented you from accessing subscription features during the billing period.	You used the subscription during the billing period and want a refund for the remainder. You forgot to cancel before the next billing cycle. You no longer need the Legal Professional features.

This policy does not limit any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Because exports and subscription features are delivered immediately at your request, the ECTA cooling-off period does not apply once you have started using them.

5. How to request a refund

Email us at admin@mmaintenance.co.za with:

• your registered email address;
• the schedule name or reference;
• the reason for your refund request; and
• any screenshots showing the issue (if applicable).

6. Refund processing

• We will review your request and respond within 2 business days.
• Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method via our payment provider, Paystack.
• Once refunded, export access for that schedule is revoked.

7. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your Legal Professional Plan at any time from your Account Settings page. When you cancel:

• you keep access to all subscription features until the end of your current billing period;
• no further charges are made;
• your account reverts to the free tier when the billing period ends;
• schedules you created remain accessible, and only export and professional features are affected; and
• client data and firm settings are kept in case you resubscribe later.

For per-schedule purchases there is nothing to cancel: each is a once-off payment with no recurring charges.

8. Account deletion

You can delete your account and its data from your Account Settings page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone: all schedules, client data, firm settings and previously purchased export access are removed. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account. See our Privacy Policy for how long other records, such as payment records, are kept.
